Design solutions provider Adobe Systems has launched a new portfolio - Creative Suite 6 (CS6) - especially for the creative sector in Malaysia, said the company.

The new range includes new innovations for design, Web and video professionals, said Adobe Systems senior video president, digital media, David Wadhwani. "Designers get a ton of innovation with CS6 with milestone release across all our flagship products. With CS6 we're also introducing new products, new mobile work-flows and advanced publishing capabilities that show we are laser-focused on ensuring design, Web and video professionals have everything they need for the delivery of high-impact content and applications."

Wadhwani said this release was especially significant for the large creative and multimedia community in Malaysia, where more than 200 creative companies are registered in MSC [Multimedia Supercorridor] Malaysia. "These companies are engaged in developing a diverse range of content and services from production to telecommunication including new media such as mobile applications and social media.

According to data from the Malaysian ICT agency Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), investment and foreign direct investment (FDI) for Creative Multimedia in 2012 is projected to surpass RM230 million (US$75.6 million), which was a significant increase from RM110 million (US$36.17 million) projected in 2011.

"Adobe's vision is to change the world through digital experiences," said Adobe Systems senior director marketing, Mark Phibbs. "This release builds on our reputation as a software innovator by empowering Malaysia creatives with the unprecedented ability to bring their vision to life and manage how and where it is delivered to the end audience - whether on smartphones, tablets, the desktop or through traditional media."
