Singapore institutes get professional development training from Cisco
Cisco has launched a professional development initiative for instructors at Singapore’s five polytechnics and the Institutes of Technical Education (ITE).
This is reportedly the first time the teaching community at the ITE, Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic are coming together to assess how content and training from Cisco can be developed into learning assets for their students.
According to a press statement issued yesterday (22 February), the Advanced Technology Seminar Series (ATS) will provide lecturers in these schools with training and hands-on experience working with technologies for cloud computing, data centre and collaboration solutions, keeping them updated on current industry innovations.
Depending on the success of this pilot programme, Cisco will explore the probability of replicating this initiative in countries around Southeast Asia, according to the report.
