F&N plans to move its Singapore employees to Google Apps.

Fraser and Neave (F&N) announced today (7 March) that it plans to move 3,000 employees in its Singapore property, food and beverage, and printing divisions to Google Apps.

F&N expects that the cloud-based e-mail solution will allow them to scale for new devices and address their ‘mobile’ workforce.

Following the move, the company’s employees will be able to access information at any time and from any device, according to a statement issued today.

F&N’s employees are expected to collaborate more easily with Google Talk, Google Sites and Google Docs.

F&N’s head of corporate information technology, Roger Tan said: “With Google Apps, we make available a powerful and innovative tool that enables collaboration in new ways, changing the way we do businesses internally and with our external stakeholders.”

Last year, the company moved 2,000 employees from F&N Holding Bhd, its subsidiary in Malaysia, to Google Apps.
